The Junxing M81 is one of the most powerful hunting crossbows ever built. It is the flagship crossbow and it comes with a lot of great features, such as a tactical stock, a Picatinny rail, and an adjustable foregrip.
The M81 works well enough as a backpacking crossbow. You won’t find something lighter than this and you won’t find anything faster for the same price.
The bowstring on the M81 is durable, so there’s a chance that it can be shot through for at least several hundred times before fraying starts to become an issue.
The bow has power to spare and the official manufacturer says that the crossbow is capable of shooting arrows at 380 fps which is impressive.
The trigger mechanism on this bow is one of its best features, as it’s very smooth and easy to pull back. The safety toggle also works nicely because it doesn’t place any pressure on your fingers when you use it.
